Chilean footballer Valdivia disappointed, returns home

Chilean international midfielder Jorge Valdivia has suspended his agreement with Fujairah SC and the last minute negotiations failed to save the situation, it was revealedon Monday.

The sources said that the Chilean may join Al Wasl Club instead of Fujairah SC.

The news conference which was scheduled by the club to introduce the player to the mediaon Mondaywas cancelled and the player flew back to his home country.

Fujairah officials declined to comment, but close sources to the promoted Arabian Gulf League club speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that the player was disappointed for one reason or another about the destination, but didn’t elaborate.

It has also been reported that Valdivia said his wife was not well, but she was later seen in good health on the beach.

The management of the promoted Fujairah had ambitious plans. Therefore, they targeted the 2014 Fifa World Cup star to lead the club’s campaign alongside Boubacar Sanago, Chrles Takyi with Lebanese veteran striker Hassan Maatouk as the fourth Asian foreigner. However, people posted their views about the sudden development in the social media sites, but no evidence has been submitted to prove or support any of the arguments that have been raised.
