Barca midfielder Iniesta out of Arsenal match
MADRID - Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta injured a thigh muscle on Saturday and will miss the holders’ Champions League quarter-final first-leg match at Arsenal on Wednesday, the La Liga club said on Sunday.
The Spain international limped off in the second half of Barca’s 1-0 win at Real Mallorca and needs approximately 10 days to recover, the club said on their website (www.fcbarcelona.cat).
Barca are three points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga ahead of Real’s match against Atletico Madrid later on Sunday and Iniesta should be back in time for the potentially decisive “Clasico” at the Bernabeu in two weeks.
