Five supporters will be given the chance to compete for the Dh1,000,000 prize pot during the big home match against Al Wasl on Friday night.

They will be chosen at random to take part in a football skill challenge in front of thousands of supporters. The challenge will only be revealed at the game.

The winners will split the one million dirham fund — meaning that if just one fan manages it they will become a millionaire.

Al Jazira players revealed the huge cash prize on the backs of their shirts at the club’s Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium along with team manager Ayad Mabkout.

“The game on Friday is a massive top of the league clash and at half-time we are going to give fans the chance to become a millionaire,” said Steve Hall, Al Jazira Club commercial director.

“This football challenge has the biggest prize ever offered in UAE league history and is part of what we are doing to attract supporters to the club.

“The challenge will be revealed at the game to build anticipation. Between now and then we will be getting thousands of tickets to people so they can come and watch this vital match and compete for the million,” Hall added.

The match against Al Wasl on Friday is a top of the table clash and kicks off at 8pm. Doors open at 6pm.

Al Jazira Club has given away thousands of free passes to games and will continue to do so in the run up to this match.

Free passes are available at the club’s Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium reception this week and on the night of the match at the North Stand.

Everyone attending the match will be given a free season pass for entry to all remaining Al Jazira home games this season, which is worth up to Dh500.
