The traditional Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot, with the women dressed to their nines in gorgeous dresses, heels and fancy hats, may have taken place on Thursday, sans the women, but Friday turned out to be a day for the ladies.
Celebrated Italian jockey Frankie Dettori's filly Fanny Logan, the lone female in the field, beat the boys to clinch the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes, while British female jockey Hollie Doyle tasted her first victory at Ascot, with a smash-and-grab win with Scarlet Dragon in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes.

It was a landmark occasion for Dettori, with the 49-year-old bringing up his 70th winner at Royal Ascot, 30 years to the day after his first winner at the prestigious festival.
Three decades ago, in 1990, a young Dettori, only 19 then, rode the Luca Cumani-trained Markofdistinction to victory in the Queen Anne Stakes.
And his special relationship and love affair with the Festival and the Ascot Racecourse at Berkshire continued. Dettori is the most successful jockey after Lester Piggott, who has an astonishing 116, at the meeting.
Fanny Logan is bred by Godolphin, the racing operation owned by His Highness SheikhMohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
And after performing is famous 'Flying Dismount,' Dettori donated his signed 70th winner commemorative saddle cloth to the Ascot Racecourse, who will be auctioning it off to raise money for the #StyledWithThanks campaign
"I actually forgot I was one short of 70 so that's another milestone. Seventy is a lot," said Dettori.
"It wasn't a fluke," trainer John Gosden said of Fanny Logan.
"She went up to Haydock and I asked Rab to drop her out. She had the hood on then because she can be keen, he rode a lovely race and she ran on to be second and had a blow, so we know the benefit of getting that race in and she's been very bright and well in herself since," he added.
The win brought up Gosden's 54th winner at Ascot.
Communique, owned by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, CrownPrince of Dubai, did the early running in the one-mile and four-furlong contest with Alounak in second. Last year's Epsom Derby winner Anthony Van Dyck was sitting in fourth with Defoe, last year's Coronation Cup Stakes winner, beside him.
Elarqam, owned by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Finance, made the move from the outside and moved to second behind Communique, while Defoe came from the outside.
But Dettori, who bided his time under Fanny Fogan sprung from the outside before taking the winning post by 2 ½ lengths over Alounak.
Meanwhile, Hollie Doyle, who had a sensational season last year with 116 winners, to become the third woman after Hayley Turner and Josephine Gordon to notch a century of wins, was lost for words.
"I can't talk, it feels amazing, it's so weird I've done it on this horse, as he was my first big handicap winner as an apprentice so to do it on him and for Mr (Henry) Ponsonby (owner) is great," said Hollie, who becomes the third female jockey to ride a Royal Ascot winner after Gay Kelleway in 1987 and Hayley Turner.
Meanwhile, Godolphin's Dabaran finished third in the Group 2 Queen's Vase.
