Fans greet their heroes
ABU DHABI - Fans at Yas Marina Circuit have been able to meet their F1 heroes and have had the opportunity to walk along pit lane on Thursday. Gates opened at YMC at 12pm, and a steady stream of ticket holders came to the circuit throughout the afternoon.
The Thursday of a race weekend is typically focused on allowing the fans to see behind the scenes, experience pit lane, and greet their driver heroes, a press release said. In addition, fans have taken advantage of the Oasis Area Entertainment zones across the circuit. The entertainment zones is a focal point for the fans and features displays from sponsors, manufacturers, merchandising, food and beverage, and plenty of great performers and artists.
Ateeq Al Romaithi, aged 21 from Abu Dhabi, said: “It is amazing that this event is happening here at my home. It makes me proud, and I think it is very cool that the drivers make the time to come and say hello.”
