Expo 2020 Dubai has released a short video of the Al Wasl dome, which gives a sneak peek of a spectacular show that will take place during the six-month exhibition, starting October 1, 2021.
The video reflects a celebration of the universal fight for a cleaner, healthier, and safer future for the global population and the planet by 2030.
To mark the UAE’s Hope Probe reaching the Mars orbit on February 9, Al Wasl dome was illuminated in a rich red hue along with other landmarks of the country, deploying cutting-edge projection and display technologies.
The dome, an architectural marvel, is also known as the heart of Expo 2020 and the jewel of the site.
Al Wasl dome will be the largest 360-degree projection surface in the world. Over one-million-man hours and 14 months of preparations have gone into itse construction.
Requiring a millimetre accuracy, the project involved collaboration of 800-plus technicians.
The Expo 2020 Dubai will be held from October 1, 2020 to March 31, 2022, where 190 countries are expected to exhibit their vision.
