To mark 85 years of making chocolate in the United Kingdom, Mars is changing the name of one of its iconic candy bars.
Internationally, the candy was known as Snickers but for the UK, it was called Marathon. It wasn't until 1990 when the UK market used the Snickers name for the nutty snack.
But for a limited time, chocolate lovers will be able to purchase Marathon bars as they are slated to make a comeback - for a three-month period that is.
According to the Mirror, the retro bars will only be available at the Morrisons stores. They will be priced at 1 UK pound (Dh4.60 approx) for a pack of four.
Announcing the throwback branding, Gemma Buggins, brand director for Mars, says: "Bringing the Marathon bar branding back for a limited time really was a no brainer.
"It's a great way to celebrate over 85 years of Mars making chocolate in the UK and we hope this serves as a wonderful treat for fans of Snickers who remember when it was called Marathon!"
