A driver in Cambridgeshire, England, was caught speeding at 110mph (177kmph) because he wanted to use the toilet.
When a silver Mercedes zoomed past an unmarked police vehicle on motorway near Yaxley, police followed and intercepted the driver who told them he "needed the toilet, a number two".
The Beds, Cambs and Herts (BCH) Roads Policing Unit posted about the incident on Twitter and seems the offender was let off without penalty for the reason he provided.
BCH Roads Policing Unit wrote on Twitter: 'Vehicle stopped after it passed our unmarked vehicle and then decided to drive along at 110mph undertaking in awful weather conditions. The "professional" hgv driver was very sorry but he "needed the toilet, a number 2". err that's okay then. Reported'.

According to reports in Irish Examiner, drivers caught speeding in excess of 100mph face disqualification from the road rather than penalty points but the decision is at the discretion of the court.
