A video of former 'Suits' actress Meghan Markle has gone viral where she says 'Salamat po' to a lucky Filipina expat in the UK.
According to GMA News Online, the viral clip was caught by one lucky Jenny Ulay during the royal fiancee's walkabout with Prince Harry at Edinburgh on February 13. In the clip, several Filipinos exchanged pleasantries with her before they got the surprise of their lives - Meghan Markle said 'Salamat po' ('Thank you' in Tagalog) with perfect enunciation. Markle's Filipino words went viral overnight and has won the hearts of Filipinos all over the world.

But here's the thing, Markle doesn't only speak Filipino she also loves Filipino food too.
In a story that the royal fiancée wrote for Today in 2012, it is revealed that she is a big fan of chicken adobo - an extremely popular Filipino dish. She wrote:

"I enjoy making slow-cooked food on Sundays, like Filipino-style chicken adobo. It's so easy-combine garlic, soy (or Bragg Liquid Aminos), vinegar, maybe some lemon and let the chicken swim in that sauce until it falls off the bone in a Crock Pot."
GMA News Online also reported that Markle is a proud California girl - a state that is known to be the hub of the Filipino community in the United States. According to the Migration Policy Institute, 45 per cent of Filipinos live in California, followed by Hawaii at 6 per cent.
