How exactly does ‘Skinscription’ - the IAMC skin analysis - work?

Well, we take a photo of the client’s facial skin (only a small section) and enter it into our computer, which then compares their image to that of other people in their age group. Not only can we show them what they looked like five years ago and what they will look like in five year’s time but what percentile they fall in, in comparison to the others in their age group. We compare different aspects of their skin.
So what are the aspects compared in the analysis?
We can see pigmentation, surface spots, UV spots, brown spots, red areas, wrinkles, skin texture, pores and other skin anomalies are detected through this analysis.
And then you recommend treatments based on their skin type?
Yes, we narrow down what skin conditions they’re suffering from the most, the cause of the trauma and how badly its affecting the skin - how the skin is ageing because of that. We can’t tell them what age their skin is; we can only tell them how their skin is doing, what needs to be improved and how it needs to be done.
What’s the most common skin condition peoplein the UAE suffer from?
Pigmentation. Living in such a hot country and not using sunscreen results in sun damage. Then there’s also the issue of break outs. We’re always in air conditioned rooms and that often leads to break outs. Smoking also is a chief cause for the skin ageing.
And what’s the most common treatment?
We really customise our treatments to the client‘s skin. But currently Crystal Peeling is quite popular. Basically, it’s a pen that releases crystals that help to exfoliate the skin. It helps smooth out the client’s skin and brighten it. I recommend this to people who do not get regular facials or do not see enough results from their facials.
Besides the skin analysis and treatments, what other services are offered at IAMC?
We offer everything from facial to body treatments. We also have an onsite plastic surgeon who covers everything from injectables to surgery. So we cover everything from head to toe.
