What happens when two racing enthusiasts, who also happen to be actors, meet? Loads of enthusiasm, of course. And that's what happened when actress Manju Warrier called on Ajith Kumar, now a Dubai resident, at one of his recent racing events.
The veteran actress, who starred with the superstar in the 2023 Tamil actioner Thunivu, posted a series of photographs of the meeting on Instagram. It wasn't immediately clear where the meeting took place.
"Thank you AK Sir, for showing how to seek what sets your soul on fire," Warrier, a biking enthusiast herself, captioned the photographs. "And also for being kind enough to let us into your racing pit and witness the thrill and excitement upclose! What an experience!"
In the images, she can be seen engaged in serious discussions with Kumar and the crew of Ajith Kumar Racing, the professional motorsport racing team he founded.
Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar, who commands a massive fan following, recently moved to Dubai, as he pursues a career in motorsport. His Ajith Kumar Racing competes in endurance racing in Europe and the Middle East. He has also participated in Formula BMW Asia Championship and Formula 2 races.
In a recent interview to The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor said that with most major motorsport circuits located in the UAE, it made sense for him to move here. The transition, he said, also gave him and his family the luxury to avoid public glare, a constant in India.
Over the last few months, Indian celebrities, including actors Sivakarthikeyan, Priya Prakash Warrier, director Venkat Prabhu and composer Anirudh Ravichander had visited the Good Bad Ugly star at the Yas Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
Pure passion, commitment, dedication and resilience - experienced it live, felt the adrenaline rush.
