Get ready for a wild ride kids, complete with heart-pumping action, cool shows, and free – yes, free – ice cream. Motiongate Dubai, the Hollywood-inspired theme park, has a bunch of kid-friendly pop-ups this month. Young ones can exercise their creative juices at the Colouring Corner, where they‘ll get a complimentary funbook filled with games and stickers and later, tuck into free ice cream (on Friday). There are also some fun shows on the agenda including the Kung Fu Academy Show, King Julien’s Sideshow, and Just Smurf It! Show. Besides these limited-period draws, there are 29 rides to choose from. That’s right, it’s time for fun, fun, fun.

Time for class
Have kids, will play. Get ready for some giggles and shouts when the kiddos head to Chaihona The Greens where they can enjoy 30-minute sessions of activities such as face painting, arts and crafts, painting, and sensory play. The sessions are free but you do need to book your little one in.

HANS ZIMMER & FRIENDS: Diamond in the Desert
If you’ve never seen Hans Zimmer live in concert, this is your golden opportunity to witness the magic. Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert is an epic big-screen concert experience where the symphony of sound comes to life.
From the soaring notes of Interstellar to the timeless score of The Lion King, and the pulse of Dune, Gladiator, and more — Zimmer’s greatest hits take centre stage in this visually arresting production. And if the music isn’t enough, intimate conversations with cultural icons like Billie Eilish, Sir Christopher Nolan, Pharrell Williams, and more take you deeper into the creative mind behind the music.
With limited screenings across Dubai on March 22, this is a one-of-a-kind experience for true cinephiles, music lovers, and dreamers alike.
Celebrate Mother’s Day
This Friday, take your mum on an adventure. Check out our things to do on Mother’s Day for ideas. One cool option is Dip Dash, where you can order their favourite sushi from the menu and the restaurant will add her initials on the plate. The place is a vegetarian pan-Asian gem where food is all about fresh flavours. At the end of the meal, mum will also be treated to a complimentary cheesecake.

Abracadabra!
Get ready for a trick (or five) and a treat this weekend for magician Rob Lake is coming to the city. The American's Got Talent showman is bringing his bag of unbelievable acts to the stage, so be ready to gasp and clap as the show goes on.

Giggle the evening away with this gig. Dubomedy, Dubai’s comedy community, is playing host to an evening of stand-up comedy, storytelling, and power-packed words. The event promises entertainment, culture, and community.

Special Persian iftar
Ariana's Persian Kitchen at Atlantis The Royal is celebrating Ramadan with a special Iftar experience until March 29. Guests can break their fast with Iranian dates, cold and hot mezze, and indulge in flavourful Persian mains like Kabab Koobideh and Khoreshteh Bamieh, complemented by Jeweled Rice. Desserts include Baklava Qazvini and Mamani’s Shole Zard, all enjoyed with soothing background music.
