So who is Hrithik pining for?
Hrithik Roshan and wife Sussanne may paint a pretty picture about their marriage to the press, but insiders report that things aren't rosy in the Roshan household anymore as Hrithik is still brooding over his Mexican co-star Barbara Mori.

“Hrithik is having a tough time forgetting Barbara. But the family wants him to get patch things up at home,” informs a source close to the Roshans.

Our source who has known the Roshan family for many years reveals, “Ever since Hrithik’s affair with Barbara came out, things haven’t been the same in the household. Sussanne had left home with the kids but returned after her father-in-law intervened and explained that he would make sure that everything would be all right and that ups and downs are part of a marriage. The senior Roshans want Hrithik and Sussanne to work out their differences but with Hrithik’s heart still pining for Barbara, there is very little that Sussanne can do.”
Buzz is that despite Sussanne’s strict instructions to not sign anymore films with Barbara, Hrithik has been referring the Mexican actress to filmmakers. Reveals a trade source, “Hrithik recently asked Zoya Akhtar to cast Barbara opposite him in her next film, but Zoya felt that Barbara didn’t fit the role, and refused to cast her, thus upsetting Hrithik.”
Hrithik’s continuous fascination for Barbara is having an adverse affect on wife Sussanne who, apparently, is becoming increasingly insecure of her husband’s co-stars.
A close friend reveals, “Sussanne has never been an insecure wife but the Barbara episode has disturbed her tremendously. She is trying to forgive him and move on but she feels that Hrithik has changed a lot since this incident. She is finding it hard to be the perfect wife, looking after his every need. She has been in love with Hrithik since they were teenagers and she is doing everything in her power to keep things normal and happy. She keeps herself busy with the kids and also her work. But, she feels that Hrithik also needs to make an effort. He keeps extra long hours at work, is uncommunicative and has also started keeping late nights. This is most unlike Hrithik who being very disciplined, likes to eat and sleep early and dislikes partying during the week.
Recently, Sussanne reportedly told Hrithik’s Guzaarish co-star, newcomer, Monikangana Dutta to keep her distance from Hrithik. Informs our source, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali asked Monikangana to spend time with Hrithik and get to know him. Bhansali thought that this would help both the actors while filming intimate romantic scenes. When Sussanne heard this, she called up Monikangana and told her to not get ‘extra friendly’ with Hrithik as she did not want to read any more news through the newspapers.” This sounds very unlike Sussanne, but as they say there is no smoke without fire.
Explaining the cause of Sussanne’s insecurity our source says, “Hrithik and Barbara got close while filming intimate scenes for Kites. Sussanne doesn’t want to take any more chances so she asked Monikangana to stay away from Hrithik.” Now we hear that Monikangana is nervous about shooting any intimate scenes with Hrithik.
Meanwhile, Hrithik oblivious to the concerns of his wife has pre-occupied himself with Barbara’s memories. Close friends of the actor say that the actor is depressed because he cannot be with Barbara. “Off-late Hrithik has become aloof and often spends a lot of time alone. When asked why he’s always brooding Hrithik says he’s preparing for his character in Guzaarish.”
Buzz is that Hrithik has found solace in close friend Karan Johar. According to sources Hrithik has been confiding about his woes to Karan. Those who know Karan well say he will make sure that he gets the couple back to being the way they were.
