Kapil Sharma, a popular comedian in India, recently opened a cafe in Surrey, Canada. However, early Thursday morning, his eatery, called Kap's Cafe, was targeted and shot at.

Media reports say that several bullets were fired at the eating joint, leaving bullet holes and even shattering a window.

Several Surrey Police Service cars lined the street outside the cafe after the incident.

Authorities are investigating the incident; however, an unverified video of a person firing at the cafe has surfaced online, with some bad actors allegedly claiming responsibility for the attack.

Two people, associated with proscribed terror outfit Babbar Khalsa International or BKI, say that a character on the Kapil Sharma Show hurt their religious sentiments.
