City Times caught up with the actress after her Dubai ramp debut for a quick chat

On walking the DFW ramp:

This is not my first time walking on the ramp – I was the show opener for Lakme Fashion Week this year in Mumbai and the Bridal Fashion Week. But every time I walk it gives me jitters. It's always nerve wracking – for those 20 second all eyes are fixed on you so the thought of malfunctions or tripping makes me nervous. I'm always hoping that my zip doesn't open up or something.

On the El Deseo collection:

I had great fun walking for Fatma today. Her designs are incredible; I said to her at the fittings that I'm taking this dress (the one she wore as showstopper) along with me to wear to my next red carpet event. Any girl would look beautiful in this.

On visiting Dubai:

Dubai is one of my favourite cities – it's only a two-hour flight away from Mumbai so I feel like I'm next to home. It's a paradise for girls with the malls and all the shopping.

On her future projects:

I have two movies in the works right now. One is Satta pe Satta, which is a Sanjay Dutt production. And then there's another one with Eros. They're both comedies. I'm looking forward to playing a different genre. People have asked me why I've had a gap after The Train. But that's only because I know what I want to do and nothing had excited me. I'm really looking forward to the Eros one, because the character is a girl who's like me – she's Punjabi and very bubbly.

On whether she is dating cricketer Harbhajan Singh:

I don't want to say anything on that. There's nothing for me to say. My personal life is my personal life and I want to keep it that way. I have no comment and I want to leave it at that.

On her fashion sense:

I like wearing comfy and confident clothes and keeping it simple. And of course, it's important to dress for the occasion – sometimes you have to bear the brunt of tight clothes and high heels, but it's worth it.
