Yash Raj Films (YRF) has officially announced that the much-anticipated trailer for War 2 will be released on July 25, 2025. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani and NTR Jr., the high-octane action thriller is the next chapter in the blockbuster YRF Spy Universe, set to hit cinemas worldwide on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
The trailer release date carries special significance: both Roshan and NTR Jr. are celebrating 25 years in Indian cinema this year. YRF has chosen July 25 as a tribute to this shared milestone, promising fans a once-in-a-generation cinematic clash.

Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, best known for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Brahmāstra, War 2 marks his first entry into the YRF Spy Universe and his directorial debut under the YRF banner. The film follows the success of previous spy hits like Ek Tha Tiger, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3, continuing the emerging shared-universe formula in Indian blockbuster cinema.
Positioned as one of 2025’s biggest theatrical releases, War 2 will reportedly roll out across 7,500+ screens worldwide. It is set to release on August 14 in the UAE.
