We are dreaming of seeing R&B legend Macy Gray, and that dream is all set to come true this month. The I Try singer will bring her raspy vocals to the Coca-Cola Arena on August 29 as part of a global tour that celebrates 25 years of her triple-platinum debut album, On How Life Is.
The soul singer has over the years dispatched 25 million records, won a grammy, been nominated five times, and has even been recognised by the BRIT Awards twice.

Last year, the singer made headlines not for her signature soundtracks but because she was hospitalised. During a stint on MTV’s The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, she revealed that she had been taking the diabetes (and weight-loss) medication Ozempic. She had suffered a number of side-effects, which landed her at one point in hospital. She explained that she tried the medicine, because she’s ‘kind of a vain person’.
“I’ve gained a lot of weight over the past couple years, and this is right about the time when everybody starts talking about this Ozempic,” she was quoted as saying by Prevention.com. “So, I thought, okay, I’m not taking [the weight] off the right way, let me see if I can get one of these.”
