The 68th annual Grammy awards this year unearthed new winners and pitchforked musical talents on to global spotlight. And one of the biggest events in the world of music had adequate representation from the Arab world: content creator Karen Wazen walked the red carpet.
The Dubai-based Lebanese influencer, content creator and designer made heads turn with her custom dress in shimmering gold by Lebanon's Nicolas Jebran.

Wazen, one of the region's biggest fashion influencers, with more than 8 million followers on Instagram alone, couldn't stop gushing about the heady experience. "What a day... Grateful to @grammys & @cbstv for the experience. My 16-year-old self would never believe!!! Still processing it all," she wrote on Instagram.
Later, in an interview at the red carpet with Virgin Radio Dubai's Kris Fade, who is also an influential figure in the UAE, she spoke about feeling proud representing the region on one of global music's biggest stages.
A global ambassador for the wearable brand Whoop, and also its first from the Arab world, Wazen is no stranger to public events or being under the paparazzi lights, yet she admitted to developing nerves before walking the red carpet. "I always get nervous before any red carpet, but I have to say this one was very, very special," she told Virgin Radio Dubai. "And everywhere you turn, it's like one celebrity after the other. So it's quite cool."

When asked who she wanted to see perform on the Grammys night, she replied without hesitation: "Justin Bieber."
Wazen, who runs her namesake eyewear brand, has also appeared on the covers of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia and Elle Arabia and partnered with leading fashion brands such as Dior and Prada.
She has been a regular at events such as the Cannes Film Festival, which she has attended in 2021 and 2019.
