Video: Beauty queen Catriona Gray wins Global Filipino Icon award in Dubai, meets fans

Catriona Gray, Miss Universe 2018, was in Dubai for the Global Filipino Icon Awards 2026.

The Philippine beauty queen was given the award for 'Beauty, Advocacy and Culture' on Sunday, February 4, 2026. In an Instagram post, she thanked the awards and said she was honoured to receive the recognition.

Her beautiful black gown was designed by Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco, who is based in Dubai. Gray did a fitting at the designer's atelier before the event. Here is a peek at the behind-the-scenes moment, including the different dresses she tried on:

The Global Filipino Icon Awards honour individuals who have brought international esteem to the Philippines.

On her visit to the UAE, Gray also met fans at the Kabayan Night Market Miss KNM Coronation Event. In a video posted online, she could be seen graciously taking photos with fans and waving at the local pageant.
