Canadian actress Carrie Anne Fleming, best known for her roles in horror films such as iZombie and Supernatural, has died at 51.

Fleming is survived by her daughter, Madalyn Rose.

Jim Beaver, her co-star on Supernatural, told Variety that Fleming died of breast cancer complications.

Fleming's representative told People magazine that Fleming died in Canada on February 26. "She died peacefully with her loved ones by her side," the representative said. "It was a great privilege to have known Carrie. She was a beautiful soul, inspiring, and above all, kind. She will be greatly missed."

Although she is best known for her roles in horror flicks, she also starred in the romantic comedy Good Luck Chuck and the fantasy action film In The Name Of The King. She has acted opposite stars such as Jessica Alba, Jason Statham, Ray Liotta, and Dane Cook, among others.

In a Facebook post last month, Jim Beaver, who played Fleming's husband on Supernatural, recalled bonding with her over having daughters with the exact names.

"She was a powerhouse of vitality and goodwill and amazingly good nature, with a rapturous laugh and an utterly adorable personality that didn't seem to have an off switch," Beaver, 75, wrote.

"We 'met cute', in Hollywood speak. As we sat on the set before our first scene, saying our hellos and breaking the ice as actors do when first paired up for a scene, she mentioned the name Madeline Rose. I was flummoxed, because that is my daughter's name, and there was no reason Carrie should know it. I said tentatively, 'Who's Madeline Rose?' She said, 'Oh, that's my daughter.' I said, 'Wait. That's MY daughter.'"

Born in Nova Scotia in Canada in 1974, she grew up in British Columbia. Her first break came in the 1994 TV show Viper. She followed that up with a role in the Adam Sandler sport comedy Happy Gilmore.

A slew of minor roles followed until Masters of Horror, directed by Dario Argento. The 2005 horror flick proved to be her big break, which also wom her critical acclaim. Appearances in other horror shows followed, including The Tooth Fairy and Bloodsuckers.

Her other TV credits included SupergirlContinuumAliceKnights of BloodsteelThe 4400The L WordSmallvilleThe Dead ZoneStargate SG-1 and Secret Agent Man.

She had a recurring role for five seasons as Candy Baker on the CW’s iZombie.
