The web-slinging excitement is building as Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) unveils its biggest name yet: Andrew Garfield, the popular star of The Amazing Spider-Man series, will headline this year’s pop culture extravaganza at ADNEC Centre from April 19 to 20.

Garfield, known for his Golden Globe and Tony Award-winning performances, will bring a dose of superhero charm to Abu Dhabi, reuniting fans with the witty, endearing Peter Parker he portrayed from 2012 to 2014—and again in the multiverse-hopping Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.

Whether you first met him in The Social Network, cheered him on in Hacksaw Ridge, or fell under his spell in the romantic drama We Live in Time, Andrew Garfield has carved a reputation as one of the most dynamic actors of his generation. His upcoming role alongside Julia Roberts in Luca Guadagnino’s After The Hunt, and his recently wrapped project The Magic Faraway Tree, continue to prove his versatile appeal.

Garfield’s arrival at MEFCC 2025 promises more than just autographs and selfies—it’s a chance for fans to reconnect with a cinematic icon who has moved hearts and inspired imaginations across the globe.

Also confirmed for the pop culture celebration is Natalia Dyer, best known as Nancy Wheeler in Netflix’s record-shattering series Stranger Things. As the highly anticipated fifth and final season looms, fans in Abu Dhabi will have the rare opportunity to meet the actress behind one of the show’s most resilient characters.

Dyer joins a powerhouse lineup of stars that includes:

  • Grant Gustin – The Scarlet Speedster from The Flash

  • Charlie Cox – Marvel’s blind vigilante Daredevil

  • Ian McDiarmid – The sinister Emperor Palpatine of Star Wars

  • Emily Rudd – Nami from Netflix’s One Piece

  • Vincent D’Onofrio – The formidable Kingpin

  • Colleen O’Shaughnessey – The voice of Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog

Anime lovers, rejoice—MEFCC is also bringing an epic slate of Japanese voice actors:

  • Daiki Yamashita (My Hero Academia’s Izuku Midoriya)

  • Hideo Ishikawa (Naruto’s Itachi)

  • Kotono Mitsuishi (the iconic Sailor Moon)

  • Tetsuya Kakihara (Fairy Tail’s Natsu)

  • Kentaro Ito (Bleach’s Renji Abarai)

With its most star-studded guest list yet, MEFCC 2025 is gearing up to be the ultimate weekend for film, anime, comic, and gaming fans across the region.
