Aamir Khan's a basketball coach in 'Sitaare Zameen Par'

Fans of Aamir Khan are in for a treat after the trailer of the actor's new movie dropped online.

Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to Khan's 2007 blockbuster Taare Zameen Par promises to be a heartwarming entertainer with a focus on people with intellectual disabilities.

Going by the trailer, a court orders Khan to coach the team to help them compete in a national tournament.

In one scene, Khan explains to them about the significance of a jersey, even as he tackles life's problems. Genelia Deshmukh plays his lover.

Directed by RS Prasanna, known for his the comedy-drama Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Sitaare Zameen Par marks his most ambitious project.

Aamir Khan Productions, the movie's producer, shared the trailer on Instagram.

The songs of the film are composed by the musical trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The movie is slated to release in theatres on June 20, 2025.
