Sharjah varsity live-in fees cut

Sharjah University students given accommodation in the dormitories at Sharjah University Hospital can breathe a sigh of relief after it was announced accommodation fees are to be slashed from the new academic year.

His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who also serves as Supreme Chancellor of Sharjah University, has instructed the management at the university to slash the internal housing fees for Emirati and expatriate undergraduates residing in the dormitories from Dh6,500 to Dh3,850 per semester.

The announcement was made by Deputy Director of the Sharjah University for Academic Affairs Dr Humaid bin Majoul Al Nuaimi, while talking over the ‘Direct Line’ radio programme broadcast via the United Arab Emirates Radio and Channel TV from Sharjah.
