Ajman students learn of responsible water use

Ajman - "These children are going to be tomorrow's responsible citizens and we feel it is our duty to make them aware of the limited natural resources we have."

Over 300 students from Arabic-language schools in Ajman gathered last week to learn about the importance of water preservation and wastewater management at an event hosted by Ajman Sewerage.
The event, called "Open Days at the Wastewater Treatment Plant", was conducted by Ajman Sewerage's Community Care Foundation, in collaboration with the Moalajah, a sewerage operator, and the Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman.
The students, aged between 10 and 15, were drawn from the Al Aqsa Private School, Asma Bint Omise School for Secondary Education and the Al Rashedia School for Secondary Education.
As part of the programmes, the students got familiarised with Ajman's available water sources, average household water consumption rates, as well as the processes used to treat water. Additionally, they were instructed on water-saving methods they can implement in their daily lives.
