The loss of two leaders, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, had had a profound impact on the consciences of the two genius 'Mohammeds': His Highnesses Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. They have together translated the feeling of loss into actions, following the example of the two founding fathers.
This emulation is strongly represented in the two genius Mohammeds who have adopted the personal qualities of their fathers and traced their great achievements at home and abroad. This is a great indication that the influence of the two founding fathers is embodied in the behaviour of the two geniuses, making them the best successors to the best predecessors, as they follow in their fathers' footsteps in work, innovation, and watch over the good and security of the nation. Moreover, their goodness and generosity have even extended to the Arab world and countries globally.
In their developmental journeys, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed have made every effort to renew their commitments to their fathers, founders of the UAE, by practically translating a set of different achievements into reality.
The two 'Mohammeds' are two Arab leaders who have written a history of glory. They have imbibed from Arabism the best qualities: bravery, chivalry, generosity, sympathy, and help in situations of distress.
They are two men whose names have become synonymous with humanitarian action and charitable work.
The history of humankind will continue to recall their noteworthy impact, noble attitudes, wonderful achievements, and sincere stances in support of humanity in all corners of the globe. Their relentless efforts and firm determination to reach space, which was achieved by an Emirati astronaut who we are proud of, and by launching the Emirates Mars Mission 'Hope Probe'. Not to mention the successful operation of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, the first peaceful nuclear energy reactor in the Arab world, and many others.
The two leaders have enlightened our insight, directed the scholars, intellectuals, researchers and writers to build on science, and on the printed sources of knowledge. Perhaps this will lead to a new life here and there, triggering development, coexistence and harmony, and producing new things that we would not have imagined, as is the case with the geniuses of our time - the two 'Mohammeds' - who defeated the impossible and informed us of what we did not think of or expect to happen.
We are grateful to our exceptionally wise and forward-looking leadership. The United Arab Emirates is a country that knows nothing is impossible.
Thankfully all this has happened due to the supportive hand of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
