Digital leaders honoured at Digitrans 2018
Digital Leader Award winners at Digitrans 2018-Digital Transformation Forum in Dubai on Wednesday.

Several industry leaders were honoured at the Digitrans Digital Leader Awards 2018 for their dedication to driving digital transformation across the industry. 
Suvo Sarkar, senior executive vice-president and group head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates NBD, was awarded the 'Global Digital Leader' award; while Sandeep Chouhan, executive vice-president and head of Operations and Technology at Mashreq, took home the 'Iconic Digital Leader' award.
Anwaar Al Shimmari, chief innovation officer at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development was named as the 'Innovation Digital Leader', while Ahmad Al Nasser, chief innovation officer at the Minstry of Human Resources and Emiratisation was named as the 'Government Digital Leader'. 
Gopi Krishnan, chief disruption officer at Gems Education scooped up the 'Disruptive Digital Leader' award, and Hessa Alsuwaidi, director of IT at the Ministry of Infrstructure Development took home the 'Digital Leader Women' award. 
Organised by Khaleej Times and MITSloan, the Digital Leader Awards also highlighted the strides made by various companies in different sectors when it comes to digital innovation. The Ministry of Health and Prevention was named as the 'Digital Leader in Government Services', while Emirates NBD, Cleaveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Al Safeer Group, and Mashreq Bank were named as the digital leaders in the banking, healthcare, retail, and enterprise sectors respectively. 
Speaking to Khaleej Times after the awards ceremony, Sandeep Chouhan, executive vice president and head of Operations & Technology at Mashreq, said that customer service is the key differentiator between winners and losers. "Digital innovation is driving and allowing enterprises to provide the most game changing customer experiences. At Mashreq, we have had a very strong heritage of leveraging technology and innovation to deliver this superior differentiated services to our customers."
