Delhi Bulls will take on defending champions Northern Warriors in their first Super League match on Tuesday

The Delhi Bulls Team Mentor Anis Sajan heaved a sigh of relief as his team's final group game against the Bangla Tigers in the Abu Dhabi T10 ended in a tie on Monday.

The Delhi Bulls finished third in Group A with three points and they will take on defending champions Northern Warriors in their first Super League match on Tuesday.

Sajan, meanwhile, praised captain Eoin Morgan for keeping his cool in a tight chase.

Chasing 109 for victory, the Delhi Bulls needed 17 in the last over as Morgan's two off the final ball helped the team tie the thrilling game.

"Honestly, this game ebbed and flowed in both innings, first they had a good start and then we came back and they finished well in the last over," Sajan told Khaleej Times after the match.

"Similarly when we batted we too had rollicking start and need just 45 in five overs with eight wickets in hand. We should have won, but they bowled well and it reached a stage where we needed 17 in the last over.

"And thankfully we managed to tie the game due to the brilliance of Morgan. Can't complain as we got one point which might be crucial at the business end of the tournament."
