Defending champions Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, landed in the UAE on Friday afternoon.
The Mumbai Indians, the most successful franchise with four titles, touched down in Abu Dhabi at 2.30 p.m local time.

Earlier, the Mumbai Indians had shared images of their players as they boarded the flight from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi. The team will be based in the UAE capital. The Mumbai Indians had won the IPL in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
The cash-rich league will be staged in the UAE from September 19 to November 10 after the disturbing rise in Covid-19 cases in India forced Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to look for an alternative venue.
The UAE, having staged the first phase of the 2014 IPL, won the rights to host the most popular T20 league in the world.
On Thursday, Rajasthan Royals, who won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2008, two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab, arrived in the UAE for the tournament.
The Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab will use Dubai as their base, while the Kolkata Knight Riders will train in Abu Dhabi.
The players and staff of all the teams are required to undergo Covid-19 tests upon their arrival at the UAE airports before being put in a six-day quarantine.
Once they complete the six-day quarantine, teams can start their training sessions in the UAE for the tournament.
The ICC Academy in Dubai and Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi will provide the teams with world-class facilities to prepare the players for the big tournament in the UAE.
