Worker falls to death from 24th floor of under construction building
The 20-year-old man was not wearing safety helmet while carrying out finishing work at the 24th floor of the building.
The Sharjah A 20-year-old Pakistani worker died on the spot after hefelldown from the 24thfloor of a building under construction in Al Tawooun area in Sharjah on Friday.
TheSharjah Policereceived a callon Fridaynight about the accident and rushed to the site. The worker, identified as M. Y., was found in a pool of blood.
The police launched an investigation and questioned the co-workers and management of the company. According to initial information, the worker was not wearing safety helmet while carrying out finishing work at the 24th floor of the building.
The number of accident deaths at work sites in Sharjah has increased during the first half of this year.
