The Green Spine, designed by URB in collaboration with EPIC Lab, promises to redefine urban mobility through 100 per cent solar-powered trams and eco-conscious infrastructure
A 41-year-old Uzbek woman was arrested after a forged Emirates ID card was recovered from her. According to prosecution records, the ID card bore her photo but had another woman’s name.
The defendant allegedly admitted in the investigation that she got the forged card from a man in Uzbekistan, but claimed that she had not used it. She said she had been deported from the UAE earlier for breaching the Foreigners’ Entry and Residence Law.
A policeman said the defendant raised his suspicion when she was walking down a street in Al Muraqqabat late on March 25. “I stopped her and asked for an ID card to see whether she was a legal resident or if she was wanted in an offence.”
The officer reported her when she told him that her ID card was at home. A woman corporal, who searched the accused, said she found an Emirates ID card in her underwear. “The card’s number could not be traced in the criminal system. It looked forged when compared to other Emirates ID cards.”
The corporal said the defendant admitted the card was forged and she had paid Dh2,000 for it.
