The substantial increase in charges left many residents financially burdened, as they strive to retrieve their stranded vehicles
A court in Abu Dhabi has ordered a woman to pay Dh13,000 fine to her former husband for refusing him opportunity to meet their daughter.
According to Emarat Al Youm, the woman didn’t show up for meetings with the father of the girl for nine times.
The father submitted a case against his ex-wife, asking for Dh100,000 compensation. He said his mother wanted to see her granddaughter before her death, but his ex-wife didn’t let this happen.
A lower court ordered the woman to pay Dh10,000 to her former husband, but she challenged the verdict in the appeal court. However, the appeal court ordered the woman to pay Dh13,000 to the complainant, in addition to the court expenses.
