Two Indians died on Sharjah-Al Dhaid Road on Friday evening in an accident mainly attributed to speeding.
According to officials, the truck loaded with 70 tonnes of construction materials was going on the slow lane of the road when the van hit on the rear of the truck, resulting in the immediate death of both the people travelling in the van, including the driver.
The accident occurred between the intersection 8 and intersection 7 was reported to the Sharjah Police around8pm on Friday. The police ambulance and Anjad patrols rushed to the accident site.
Officials said the truck was moving slowly and the van was speeding on the same lane. Driver of the van lost control and the van rammed into the truck, leading to the immediate death of the driver and his companion.afkarali@khaleejtimes.com
