Two held on drug charges in Sharjah

The Sharjah Police arrested two Arabs for allegedly misusing medical prescriptions to buy medicines used in drug rehabilitation and then selling them to purchase heroin.

The police said one of the suspects, identified as A.A.M., bought these medicines prescribed to him as part of his drug rehabilitation treatment. He then allegedly sold these drugs to buy heroin.

The police arrested the suspects after they were tipped off about their activities. On raiding A.A.M.’s house, the police recovered a large quantity of medicines, which he allegedly intended to sell.

A.A.M.’s friend, identified as A.S.M., was arrested for allegedly providing him with heroin.
