The Sharjah Police have arrested two Asians for allegedly trying to rob an ATM machine in an industrial area. The police arrested the duo red-handed before they could leave the crime scene.
They were arrested in under two minutes after the police were notified of the crime.
Lieutenant-Colonel Faisal Ibrahim bin Nassar, deputy director of the criminal investigation department, said: "We were notified that two unknown persons were trying to break open an ATM by using iron tools."
The patrols closest to the crime scene were notified, and the police reached the site in under two minutes. The police arrested the suspects and seized the tools they were using to commit the crime.

The suspects confessed to the crime, based on which they were referred to the public prosecution.
