A source from the office of the Attorney-General of Abu Dhabi said that three Arab nationals were charged with deception, vandalising and giving false statement.

“It was evident that the three suspects had designed traffic accidents to con insurance companies,” he added. The first clue of their design were discovered in the daily audit process done by the company responsible for reconstruction of accident scene and defining legal liability.

Upon suspecting a certain case reconstructed by the company, it was clear that the damages were in fact old ones and did not relate to the date of the registered accident. This led the company to review its record to discover the involvement of additional suspects in several other accidents with close time intervals.

According to him, three out of four suspects admitted to the Traffic Prosecution that they agreed to cook up traffic accidents and encashed insurance money against issued liability reports.
