Colonel Abdulla Khaled bin Suroor, Director of Naif Police Station, said that a police patrol saw the suspect rushing out of a narrow road in Al Nakheel area last Saturday at 2am. When he was questioned by the police out of suspicion, he said that some people tried to assault him so he ran away.

Soon, the patrol team received information from the command room about an attempted theft so they rushed to the shop and the owner who was standing outside recognised the thief in the police car. He said that the Asian suspect had broken the window of the shop and entered inside. The owner saw him hiding under some hardwood. When he saw the owner, the suspect ran into the street where he was picked up by the police.
