According to prosecution records, the Emirati defendant, who has a criminal record in similar cases, lured the victim, his compatriot, into his bedroom and made him forcefully swallow a drug.

Later, he assaulted the teen after threatening him with a knife. He also filmed the assault and blackmailed the teen saying he would circulate the video if he told his parents. The teen told the prosecutor that he had been playing soccer in Nad Shamma one evening in October last year when three youngsters picked him up in their car. The defendant was among them.

They took the teenager to the defendant’s place in Rashidiya where they stayed outside for about two hours. The boy asked the three to take him back home, but they refused. The defendant then asked the boy to help him carry some things to his bedroom. Once in the bedroom, the defendant grabbed the boy by his neck and forced him to take a drug. They then went outside and stayed there for about half an hour.

The defendant then sent his friend to buy soda and then took the teen, who was by then feeling dizzy, back to his bedroom.

He locked the door and took the boy’s mobile phone and switched it off. He then twisted the boy’s arm and told him that he would hold him up till the morning and not let him talk to his parents if he did not do as told. The defendant then sexually assaulted the boy after threatening to beat and hurt him with a knife. He also left his mobile phone on the bed on camera mode to film the assault. The defendant then threatened to circulate the video if the boy told anybody about the incident.

The teen refused to be dropped back home by the three. He met a friend as he was walking home and went home with him as his father would not let him in the house at 3am.

He informed his mother two days later who in turn informed his father. The father filed a complaint at Rashidiya police station.

According to the report of the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence, the DNA of the semen stains found on the teen matched with the defendant’s.
