Air Wing officers rescued six Indian sailors from imminent death, after their ship drifted 10 nautical miles off the coast of Sharjah.

One of the three sailors is in a critical condition, while the rest of them are recuperating in a stable condition at Al Qasimi Hospital. The ship had set sail from a neighbouring state and experienced trouble 10 nautical miles west of the entrance of Khor in Sharjah.

It sunk at around 7am on Tuesday after it was swept away by the rough seas. The medical staff on the rescue aircraft tended to the six men and provided them with the necessary care during the flight to the hospital for treatment.
