A policeman said during the prosecution investigation that the incident happened in September. He was on patrol duty when he learnt about an incident behind the Police Academy in Jumeirah.
Moving to the scene, he saw the woman, a Filipina, with two guards. She told the officer that as she was walking back home, she was intercepted by a security guard who put his hand on her shoulder and hugged her and then offered to pay her Dh1,000 if she had sex with him. But she ran away.
The accused, an Egyptian national, was arrested shortly later. He was made to confront the complainant and he admitted that he intercepted and touched her offering her paid sex.
He apologised to her in English but she would not talk to him.
