The suspect would stop his victims, show the fake police ID card and ask them to get into his car. He would drive them to some isolated areas and steal their money and other valuables while pretending that he was searching them.
The police formed a special team to nab him after receiving complains from several victims. From the descriptions given by the victims, the team figured out that the police records had a similar man who had used the same technique to rob people. In coordination with the Ajman Police, the team arrested the suspect from an area in the neighbouring emirate. He confessed to the charge after he was identified by one of the victims.
