'Reconciliation' helps restore Dh21m to owners amicably

Sharjah - The Sharjah Police received 1,239 financial dispute complaints at various stations and solved them amicably without referring them to court.

The Sharjah Police have restored more than Dh21 million to its owners amicably through its 'reconciliation is good" initiative since the beginning of the year.
Dr. Khalifa Kalander, director of police station said the police received 1,239 financial dispute complaints at its various stations in the emirate and it solved them amicably without referring them to court.
The initiative which was recently launched by the directorate of police stations aimed at providing opportunities to defendants in bounce cheque cases to settle their dues without going to court or trial through reconciliation methods.
The initiative also reduced the volume of work at courts and number of accused in a police stations prison. It also contributed in ensuring social stability and providing best services.
