Eissam Issa Al Humaidan, Dubai’s Attorney-General, said during a press conference that the new releases which are part of the prosecution’s legal knowledge publications are interesting for their aim, which is to raise the public’s awareness on legal issues.

“The releases combine the legal angle together with a common or appealing subject that affects the society at large and people in general. It widens the spectrum of the prosecution’s work to include legal education of people on their rights and warn them of the negative consequences that might result from irresponsible behaviour.”

The prosecution issued the publications in both Arabic and English.

The legal publications have been prepared by a team comprising heads of criminal prosecution, prosecutors and other administrative members of the prosecution. They were issued under the supervision of Hamad Juma Al Khallafi, chief prosecutor of the general prosecution.

One of the documents is on the defendants’ rights, the other document revolves around the delinquent juveniles’ rights while the third document tackles the prisoner’s rights.
