Police officials in Ajman have arrested a 38-year-old Asian man for murdering his compatriot by stabbing him several times at a restaurant in Ajman. Officials told Khaleej Times the murder victim suffered multiple stab wounds in his body. 
However, police identified the suspect and nabbed him in coordination with Dubai Police 18 hours after he committed the crime. The suspect was caught while he was trying to hail a taxi to Dubai International Airport in order to flee the country.
Lt Col Ahmed Saeed Al-Nuaimi, Director CID at Ajman Police said that they received a call at 10.30 pm on Sunday, reporting a murder in Al-Liywara 1 area near the Mussala Ground in Ajman. A team of officers, including the forensic department, crime scene, and ambulance arrived on the site of the crime immediately after.
Following collection of evidence, the police interrogated bystanders at the crime scene. They later revealed that the victim was accompanied by three other people in a restaurant, and suddenly, one of them assaulted the victim with a knife and stabbed him multiple times. Later, he fled from the crime scene by boarding a taxi with his accomplices.
The police seized the murder weapon, a white knife, that the accused left in the taxi that he took after committing the crime. Following which, the accomplices were identified and arrested as well. Al- Nuaimi said the arrests were made in coordination with Dubai Police in Bur Dubai.
