A Pakistani man who was charged by the Fujairah Public Prosecution late last month of forging a stamp belonging to the UAE Consulate in Pakistan and a UAE postal stamp of Dh50, was sentenced to two years in jail on Tuesday.

The Criminal Circuit at the Fujairah Federal Court also ordered the deportation of the convict after his prison term.

In January this year, an officer at the UAE Foreign Ministry office discovered that an education certificate submitted by a Pakistani man, 24, was fake. The accused had submitted the document for attestation.
