Man rescued from sunken car in Dubais Deira Creek

A man was seriously hurt on Friday after his car submerged on Deira Creek, the Dubai Police said on Tuesday.
In another accident, a tanker and a heavy truck collided near Dubai Club Brigade, towards Sharjah, on Tuesday, leaving the driver of the tanker injured.
The driver who caused the accident was trapped inside the vehicle and the rescue team had to use hydraulic cutters to remove him and airlift to Rashid Hospital.
Major Abdullah Bishoa, head of land rescue section at Dubai Police said that the rescue team received an information around 9:30am and the Dubai Police arrived within 8 minutes.
The Dubai Civil Defence team, Dubai Police Air wing and ambulances also arrived at the scene in no time.
Regarding the Deira Creek accident, Major Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, head of maritime rescue section at general department of transport and rescue at Dubai Police said that the maritime team received an information on Friday that a vehicle fell in the Deira Creek.
The Dubai Police rushed to the site and found people has rescued the car driver who was severely injured. He was then transported to Rashid hospital in an ambulance.
He added that the divers and rescue team have searched the waters to check no other person was involved in the accident.
