A criminal court in Dubai sent a man to seven years in jail for stabbing his compatriot manager to death. The court also ordered a deportation after completion of jail term.
The prosecution records say the  22-year-old Pakistani worker got angry when the victim solicited sex from him, prompting him to stab him four times.
However, he denied a premeditated murder charge in court claiming he did not mean to kill the victim. "He attacked me first and I was defending myself," he said.
The accused told the investigation that the victim had called him around 11pm on the incident day.
"I was walking near the accommodation in Al Quoz when the victim called me. He wanted me to meet him in the parking lot, expressing his sexual desires towards me. As I turned his invitation down, he said no matter what I did I should still see him in the accommodation. He also insulted and threatened to hurt me," the accused had told the prosecutor.
"On my way, I could not help being angry and stopped at a supermarket and bought a knife."
When the victim saw the defendant latter in the car park, he allegedly slapped him and before he could drag him to do what he had solicited before, the defendant stabbed him several times in the abdomen and chest.
The victim walked some steps and then collapsed. The accused then sat next to him telling him how sorry he was, cried and apologised to the victim.
The accused had also told the police victim had been sexually abusing him for a year since he arrived to the country for work under his team.
