Maid steals Dh1,000 from sponsor's purse in Dubai, runs away

Dubai - She woke up the next morning to find the money had disappeared.

A woman is accused of stealing Dh1,000 from her sponsor's purse then running away in Dubai. 
The 29-year-old African woman worked as a maid in the victim's home in Mirdif area. 
On April 13 of last year, the 43-year-old female teacher had withdrawn Dh5,000 from the bank and placed it in her purse, as per Alkhaleej report.
Upon returning home, she needed to pay the gas delivery man, so she withdrew Dh1,000 from her purse and he gave her Dh870 change. 
The maid had witnessed the exchange and was thus alerted that there was some monetary amount in the purse.
Her sponsor continued to move intermittently through the kitchen and the rest of the house, while the maid was still in the kitchen.
The sponsor retired to her bedroom at 10pm, taking her purse with her.
The following morning, she found the maid had disappeared. She checked her purse and found Dh1,000 missing. 
She reported the absconding maid to the police, who arrested the culprit.
