Maid gropes sponsor's 5-year-old daughter in Dubai

Dubai - The accused admitted to the crime and will be sentenced in April.

A maid went on trial at a Dubai court accused of inappropriately touching her sponsor's five-year-old daughter.
The 27-year-old Filipina maid denied a molestation charge at the Court of First Instance.
The case dates back to and prior to January 7 and was registered at Al Muraqqabat police station.
The victim's mother, a 26-year-old Syrian housewife, said the maid had been working for her for one-and-a-half years. "I have two children: a girl aged five and a half years and a son aged three and a half years."
She recounted to the prosecutor that she had to be absent from the house for many hours daily as she studied law. "At 6pm, my daughter got close to me and touched me with her middle finger. She told me the maid had done that to her twice."
When confronted by the mother, the maid denied the girl's story at first but with the housewife's insistence, she confessed she did it twice while the girl wore her clothes. "I asked her to leave my house. My husband and I complained against her at the police station," the mother said during the public prosecution investigation.
The maid admitted to the prosecution investigators she groped the girl twice while she worked at the house.
The accused will be sentenced on April 21.
