Greek national fighting for life after riding kids train

Sharjah: A 31 years old Greek national who resides in UAE is fighting for his life in Al Kuwaiti hospital after he received serious injuries while taking a children train ride in Al Qasba to take a video and picture.

The accident took place on Monday when the man identified as A.K was sitting in a moving train ride at a mall. He suddenly stood up to take a picture, got hit by a rod, leading to a fall and got hit by an iron bar yet again.

The man has suffered from severe bleeding and fracture in the skull. The accidenttook place on Monday at 7:30 am after which the police patrol and ambulance were dispatched to the spot. The man was rushed to the hospital by the national ambulance, where he was immediately admitted to the ICU.

The police said that the man has been warned against using the kid’s rides to take video and picture several times, but he insists on doing the same. He approached the management office and signed an undertaking that he would be solely responsible for any accidents that might occur.

Police has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident that led to the man’s injuries.
