The suspects were A.S. from Saudi Arabia; M.A. from Yemen; and F.N., A.K. and A.A., all Emiratis.

The case dates back to March, when one of the five suspects pretending to be a woman, called the victim on his mobile phone saying that ‘she’ wanted to meet him. He was invited to a shopping centre in Abu Dhabi.

The culprit threatened the victim to give him money when they met at a car park of the shopping centre. When the victim reached his car, he was surprised to see the rest of the suspects. When arrested and interrogated, the five suspects confessed to the charges.

An official source at the office of the Public Prosecutor stressed that such cases will be strictly deals with. —
